you have to remove the entire dash to get the guage cluster out due to a bolt that is impossible to get to otherwise. You can cut it out but considering it only took about an hour to remove the entire dash going slow i wanted to ensure a proper installation. I could remove the dash in about 30 min now no problem. I went with the 52mm guages so the stock ring will fit over them. 60 you will have to do some cutting and such. IMHO the best way is to remove the dash.
