So clearly I'm a noob and tried doing the search but wasn't successful, if this was already posted I apologize. But I'm trying to get rid of the dealer decal

Be careful using your finger nails. I used the blow dryer method in one of those posts Triple's pointed you to...but I neglected to read them thoroughly. So just last note I decided to get rid of mine, but as it curled up from heating I picked at it with my fingernail. Decal is all gone...but now I have a few pits in the clear coat created by me

Roll it with your thumb only ... which is what I should have done.

Yeah as long as its just the vinyl ones then heat and roll with your finger...

I saw one the other day it was like a metal/plastic badge! hideous!

If there are any minor scratches after taking it off just use 3M rubbing compound for clear coats and it will look good as new

For a new-ish car, dental floss or fishing line can be a very easy way to get the double sided tape off. You still have to clean off any goop residue if the sticker has been on a while.
