Did any of you have power when you faced this issue ?

I have none, no lights, radio, windows or door locks . No flashing intelligent key sign either. Completely dead .

Will try jumping it in the morning. Was running fine all day and the voltmeter had a high reading .

That's not an ESCL/SLU problem. The dash lights will work but the ignition will not go to ACC or ON if it's the steering lock. Sounds like a battery problem or parasitic drain.

I will get the battery checked out today.

After beating the crap out of the steering wheel last night, I went out this morning to try to jump it if it was a battery issue. Prior to jumping it, I tried to start it one last time and it started like nothing happened...the clock and radio reset though.

Drove it around for a while, pulled into the garage and yanked the SLU fuse to be safe.

Has started and been fine since, will still get battery check for peace of mind.

Thanks!

Is there any chance that I could get reimbursed by Nissan, my steering wheel lock messed up but it wasn't under warranty and I had to pay out of pocket? It would be great if i could get my money back!

Default fuse pulled

New to the board. My key light came on a couple of days ago but vehicle would still start. Then the light went off. Started looking for answers online and came across this board. Yanked the fuse while in the on mode and everything still works perfectly. Key light is not on. 2010 with Nav

... There's a recall on it, lol
Put the fuse back in and have Nissan pay $1000, then pull the fuse out again, LOL

My recall notice showed up in the mail today! Now to get them to reimburse me for the last "C" code module I replaced out of my own pocket before I pulled the fuse...

so i called up nissan consumer affairs this am asking for reimbursement on the steering lock. i had my vin and receipt and everything ready to be faxed out per wat other members did successfully.

the lady told me i have to bring the car into the dealer for them to VERIFY my work before they can close the case and issue the reimbursement. i asked repetitively i already fixed the lock, car runs great as proof, i can send pictures, and i do not have plans to take the car to the dealer because i dont trust them, i dont trust their porters, i dont trust that they wont scratch the car, etc. etc.

she said, then tuff luck. kept repeating a canned messaged. no check coming.

You should be able to use any Nissan dealer to do the verification. If you don't trust the one you're using, find one you do.

Nissan petty bureaucracy
ruin a lovely car.

They admitted the problem in March 2010 on GTRs and now "innocently" include GTRs in 2013...etc.

Nissan blame the dealer. The dealer blames Nissan..who are in cahoots with the dealer. I'm used to their broken record.

Kenchan helped us all on this mess.

I got conned on this and and another far more serious matter of material contract falsity known by dealer and Nissan who stonewall me into a lawsuit.

There's no Magnuson Moss here.

Checked my 40th. I have model C. Build date is 0110 2010. Is that referring to November for the build date? Or is it January 10th?
