i think you can get reimbursed, but not 100% sure. make sure to keep the documents when your car is fixed, i guess. :)
|
Yeah, you have to keep your receipts and invoices to prove the work was done. You will then be refunded the cost when there is a recall. That happened to me with my Toyota.

If these parts are on restricted order, I'd guess Nissan is clamping down to ensure they can address true failures prior to starting a full recall. Probably trying to stockpile the parts from the supplier.
|
Why would Nissan hold a part back? Money is money right?
|
i'd like to see the faces of GTR owners that will probably get yet another round of recall for the same damn thing...bring back the RevC's, we'll install new RevD's. lol..
i think the best one can do at this point is keep a spare if feasible. |

Mine just failed and the remedies didn't work so I took the part out and opened it up. I was able to simulate it but, the down fall is my steering wheel will not lock anymore even when its off. Hopefully, I can figure how to get this part to work properly again. If not, I'll just keep driving as it is or buy a new part if it bothers me that much.

also if you could let us know how you went about opening the unit and what part of the lock was failing.... was the gear jammed or some relay or something was stuck?, etc. thanks! :D |
GOT MY CAR BACK! YAY! But they reprogrammed my keys so now its not reading my alarm/remote car starter..have to go get it reprogrammed or something now.
