I want to say most people on here use Red Line but I've seen many use Royal Purple as well. The topic has been beaten to death on these forums but you absolutely do not have to use Nissan's oil.

Yeah I was going through the forum and trying to read up on other people's opinion. Hope it's okay.. Thanks.

Based on my research awhile back, whether you choose Red Line or Royal Purple, you'll be quite happy. I'll just leave it at that so the hot coals don't get stoked any more than necessary. :)

Ok sorry to post this here... Im done reading 1000 pages of blog to get an answer that I am sure I have missed because my eyes are going crazy.

I am looking to order ALL Redline fluids (today hopfully 2 Mar) to switch out my factory fluids. 2012 7AT touring+sport. Looking for a straight answer on how much oil, tranny, and diff (even though I read its sealed but others have had great outcomes with it that why i want to do so) and weights. Please let me know by PM or here doesnt matter and thanks for the help... if Im wrong about the diff forgive me.. eyes are shot from reading lol.

you'll need to buy I think 6 quarts of 5W30 for engine (need 5.25 quarts to actually put in).

Just cracked 30K, thinking of changing tranny fluid (I drive a 7AT).
Which transmission fluid do you guys recommend?

Thanks fellas.

Dealer services the 7AT since it's sealed system.

Not that you can't change it yourself but it's not that easy.

Changed my oil with Nissan ester oil at 1800 miles after the break in and recently changed to Royal Purple at 5500 miles and I have to say it's noticeably smoother. I also installed a filter mag magnetic oil filter and magnetic drain plug. Used a K&N oil filter. Another satisfied Royal Purple customer! Great write-up btw AK!

Can someone confirm that the fumoto n type will not hang down too low? Just put one on my wife's daily driver and I'm about to put one on my RX. The N type says not to use it on low ground clearance vehicles.

Thanks!

Would you suggest a PureOne over a NISMO filter? Also, if your using RedLine synthetic oil... should you use a synthetic oil filter or does it not matter?
