Did you use ramps? Makes all the difference in the world.

No, I hate the ramps. But if they work for you - more power to you. I wound up putting a jack under the cradle. What a mess.

I've been waiting my whole life to get a hoist at home. Some day.

Dude. The engine is noticeably smoother now. I don't know if it's because of the clean oil, or better oil. Maybe just breaking in a little. It's so f'n nice now.

Hey guys, I've put just under 500 miles on my car since changing the oil for the first time and using Amsoil SS0W-30. Hasn't used ANY oil at all. I changed the oil for the first time at 3,000 miles and I can't lie about it. I drove the car pretty hard during those miles. I used 1 quart of oil during those 3,000 miles. And I still drive my car hard now. So what I guess I'm trying to say is that the Amsoil isn't as volatile as most oils. I will keep checking it and keep everyone informed along the way....

Under Body Cover

The under body cover is actually an aerodynamic part. It minimizes the under body turbulance which causes lift. G-coupes, and Z's are zero lift designs. Most high end sports cars have them front and back.

You only have to remove 4 bolts and fold back the cover. The drain plug and filter are easily reached.

i received the Rhino Blitz Ramp (8000) today. I was excited however i realized there is no way the Z could go up the ramp without the ramp scraping the bottom plastic aero deflector. Even if i remove the aero deflector, the bottom fender looks like it has only 1/4 inch clearance and i have a feeling the fender would get scraped too if i drive the car up.

Now i'm bummed.

ramps

i think i have the same ones, what i'm planning to do is use wooden boards to go up the ramps. Haven't got a chance to change my oil yet since it's been raining on and off here in san francisco.

Oh noes, more redline showed up at my doorstep! :icon17:

You may be wondering, why K&N again? well, they owed me these filters. I ordred these from K&N last month but thanks to the UPS driver who doesn't care about the rain forecast, left the box outside by the front door . The box and filter soaked in heavy rain :shakes head:. So, I may be utilizing these filters during next few changes. Then, I'll go back to Purolator.
