So, How in the world do you get the bezel back on... I am not even worried yet about the boot coming up, but the bezel sits so flush on

I am not even worried yet about the boot coming up, but the bezel sits so flush on the P R N D shift plate that the thickness of the leather boot will not let it slide into place...
