Yes its prewired, but you need to get a JDM stalk for it to work as intended utilizing that plug. Most just wire it to the brake light or license plate light. Plenty of threads on this if you do a search

how much does it cost for the parts and to get it wired to the brake light if you were to take it to a shop?

Nissan JDM Rear Fog Lamp Kit - 2009 370Z :: Nissan Parts, NISMO and Nissan Accessories - Courtesyparts.com

$200 for the kit and about $100-150 for install depending on the shop. Just note that the stalks will be reversed since its a JDM part.

about $70 if you just splice it.

is it possible to just buy a bulb that can be wired in back there or do you have to replace the whole unit?

The existing dummy fog lamp is sealed. I supposed you could modify it, but its much easier to just buy the lamp.

You don't have to get the stalks. You could alternatively get the Nissan rocker switch like I have.

Doesn't it cost just as much? And I didn't think it used that existing harness.

just piggyback it onto the license plate lights. but be warned... the fog light installation was the biggest pita for me. the nut kept spinning with the bolt
