DIY 370Z Car Ramp Drawings
After looking at low profile ramps for the Z, I decided I'm just going to make them myself. The race ramps looks really nice, but way too expensive. If anyone knows of an alternative, please let me know.
I'm sure these will work, but they will be heavy and cumbersome to move around.

Yeah, that should work fine. I do the same thing but with just 2 2x4x12 pieces. But I only use them so I can jack the car up, not to actually do any work underneath. You're right about them being heavy though. But the side benefit of that is you won't need to worry about them sliding as much as I do with mine, especially since I have a painted garage floor.

Yeah that will work but they are way to long and are going to be heavy.
I just built a set this weekend out of 2x10's the bottom one is 4ft,then 3ft, then 2ft, then 1ft,last I put a 8in piece vertical on the end straight up for a stop. And I put grip tape down the center for traction and on the bottom so is does not slip on the garage floor. these are easy to store I just put them on top of the refrigerator in the garage. Also my car is lowered 1.25in on the front 1.0in on the back and the chin spoiler never touches it.

I don't know if you are referring to me or him but mine are screwed together and the grip tape allows you to go slow and gives me traction so I don't fly over the stop.

It's really not necessary,I don't know if the op did the drawing but I'm saying that there is no reason for them to be that big people are over thinking the"wheel" here.

Where did you get this grip tape from? I could use something like that. The stuff I put on the bottom of mine was meant for stairs, and it was stupid expensive and is pretty brittle.

It works well for me it was a after thought but when I tried them going slow one moved so I put a strip down the middle and 2 strips on the bottom now I can go as slow as I want. I can go up and stop on every step and they don't move. Thank god for grip tape.

I don't think I'll need leverage for the back, the weight of car will keep it planted once it's on the ramp.

Thanks. I'm gonna revise it to make it lighter. Maybe use flat 2x4's for the steps except for the bottom one.
