I never thought to do this. Now I'm coming up with all kinds of reasons why I should do it:
My Z is white It would help me distinguish the Z fob from the Mazda Its going to snow another whole s-load of snow on Friday, and I have some time to kill My Z is white It will probably only cost me $175 (the cost of a new fob once I screw up the first one) None of my friends have a white fob (none of my friends have a Z, either) repped you for the great idea and nice DIY!

id recommend using a vinyl dye if you have access. they sell it at most hardware/auto parts store. comes in a spray paint can and just dyes the plastic instead of putting a coat of paint, therefore it doesnt scratch off
