DIY Taillight Blackout
So removing everything you have to remove to get to the taillights was the hardest part of this whole project. Once out i wet sanded each light with 2,000 grit sandpaper until Dull......wiped clean with Acetone... Painted with taillight blackout paint x2 (which is 14.00 at AutoZone)...very very!!!!! lightly resanded again with water and 2,000 grit.....then finished it off with 3 coats of clearcoat... I have had 5 people ask me where i got the covers from and when i tell them i spray painted them i get the weird "HUH?? wow i thought they were covers i could'nt even tell"

great job. Could you just cover the car and mask the area or does the light have to be removed?

VHT Nite Shades? Looks good. I see your wheels came out nice. How's the paint holding up?
I'm going to try a smoke vinyl wrap on mine when the weather warms up. I don't know if anyone has had any success with vinyl though.

yea i thought about just masking off the car. but it was pretty windy that day so instead of risking it i just removed the lights.. plus it was a good to learn the ends and outs for a bulb replacement when the time comes......As far as the paint on the rims it is holding up perfectly noone can believe i did it with spray paint...
