Bought a set of the LED bulb shaped ones. Did it in 2 mins, looks a lot cleaner then the previous bulbs color discharge.

VLEDS is a great website and they ship fast. This only took five minutes.

Not to be bringing back thread necromancy, but I've been working on lights and electrical for many years.

VLED.COM is great for the price with every other color. However, I also feel their whites are a little bit on the "cool" side.

http://www.superbrightleds.com

SuperbrightLEDs.com's "Natural White" is pretty much the whitest 5k you can get with much tint of blue. It's up to you to justify extra $5 if you want the purest white you could get.

What is the exact part # I would need for my license plate light from this site? Thanks in advance!

Step 1: Locate your bulbs.

Step 2: Change them with the L.E.D. bulbs. I used the 5K L.E.D. from vleds. If they don't turn on after installing them, just switch their polarity.

Done!

OEM bulbs

OEM vs L.E.D.

L.E.D.s installed

I hate the OEM yellowish look. These bulbs make the rear end look much better at night. These bulbs are slightly bluer than the headlights but they are almost identical. Light output is good. I just have to wait and see how long they last.

Do these same lights work for the interior Map Lights?

I'm also curious to know how the longevity of these bulbs has been considering it's been a bit of time now?

Quick question AK, i just installed the LEDs and they seem to be a lil more lose than the OEM bulbs. I am afraid that bumpy roads will cause it to fall out.

Did you have such problem?

Mine came in today (used the link from AK's initial post)!

Shouldn't take me long from what I'm reading... not even a screwdriver needed? Sweet.

The job took 5 hours and 5 minutes.

5 minutes to switch the bulbs, 5 hours to wait until the sun set and I could drool at how much better it looks!

AK370Z, Amuse370z, 6MT-Z34 and 1 others like this.

How long have these lasted you guys?

I have bad luck with LED's and they go out usually within a couple weeks.
