DIY-Door handle removal

Gents, I'm having an issue with that 2nd bolt on the drivers side door handle. Being that its to the right, I cannot get firm traction with my screw drive

Being that its to the right, I cannot get firm traction with my screw drive or socket wrench. Was there any specialized tool that you used??? I want to avoid stripping the screw......
