Key programming~
I have 2 nissan (a 370z & a Qashqui/Rogue), and I would like to program my fairlady key so that it could also operate my Qashqui/Rogue.
Browsed around the Internet, there are several posts that listed the steps to program it, but no luck, I just failed the first step, I can't get the car into the programming mode. Does any one has experience on this? Please help!! |
When I had a replacement key FOB, I tried also but failed. When I took it to the dealer they had a hard time also. They had to get a code directly from Nissan using the VIN number.

:mad:Been trying to get my dealer to properly program a second fob. Brought car and existing fob in 2 different times. Second visit was all day while I went to the office. They still can't get 2 fobs working. Once they program the second one the prior fob loses it's connectivity.
Needless to say I am extremely frustrated because I payed the ridiculous price for one and still have no second key. Only an IOU and a promise that 3 time will be the charm. Second guessing my choice of dealer service here in San Diego. Anyone else experience this dealer incompetence with programming these things? Based on these boards and speaking with the service guys, Nissan may have made this process too difficult for traditional mechanics. Ugh! |
You can program the key fob to the two vehicles but it needs the specail Pin number from the Consult 2 or Consult 3 to connect to the vehicle I work for Nissan Dealership in NC and one of the Tech did it and it started to work for couple weeks and the customer came back that one of the fob key was not response to the vehicle to start the car :/ It could interfer the CAN etc.
