Let me just add that if you don't have an impact gun then the lower strut bolt will be a serious pain. I was able to break the torque on it by placing a 22mm wrench on the side closest to the front of the car. Get it on there good and make sure it stays aligned during the whole process. On the back side go at it with a 19mm socket, 12" extension, 1/2" ratchet, and a nice size pipe. While yanking on the bar make sure the 22mm stays wedged in and give it a tug. Good luck.

just pull the perch down and yank the spring out. don't need to compress anything

How much torque do you use to loose the 14mm nut holding the strut top on? I have a impact wrench 250lb of torque and is not loosening it ? The springs is compressed also.

you have to compress the spring more and use a wrench to hold the piston, not just spin it like crazy.

Got my Swifts installed today thanks to this DIY! Just one note: the nut sizes in step 6

6/10 is a little high.
Springs are really easy, and the fact the rears are how the are makes it even easier. Id rather install 10 sets of springs than touch a test pipe again.
