Got my Swifts installed today thanks to this DIY! Just one note: the nut sizes in step 6

Other than that, Great DIY!

6/10 is a little high.
Springs are really easy, and the fact the rears are how the are makes it even easier. Id rather install 10 sets of springs than touch a test pipe again.

I don't find the job to be difficult but a compressed spring, no matter what tool I'm using to compress it, scares me. I'd much rather do a test pipe install. The right extensions, the right pipe, and a hammer make it actually quite simple.

Question, when putting the new spring on the strut, how do you know how far to tighten down the top hat? Does it stop at a certain point? I'm worried about having different amounts of compression in the springs.

I just eye balled it to the original. I took a pic and measured so I can see how far down it was. I think it can do down more but I wouldn't do it. Could damage it.

What he said.... I am getting ready to install my swift springs this weekend and was wondering if anyone had any torque specs on all the various bolts, (strut mounts, lower control arm bolts, sway bar endlinks)??

After some searching I was able to put the information together.
Use this thread to read the diagrams Torque Specs And this link for the service manual if you don't want to download it. Index of /FSM/370Z/Coupe You just have to sift through the pages to find the specs you are looking for. Hope this helps!
