How did the intake swap work out for you. I have found a stillin supercharger for a 370z, for a good price thinking about buying and trying the same thing.

not really because I have to get some more work done on the last hole ( Hole #4 )
once the alignment is correct and the screw in . I'll be able to get on the next step of filling the hole to be able to hold down the intake manifold. the sealing is not a problem , the last hole is. you just have to look at the picture and you can have a pretty good idea of what I'm talking about. |

another Update before going on the Dyno to find the result !
I finally put myself back into it and after 4 try , I finally got to screw into the 4th hole that was giving me a hard time ! I was afraid of making a hole by grinding into the wall since the screw is right touching it ! so yeah everything is done and ready *hose included* total time spend on the project 10-11 hours I could easily cut the time by more than half of what it took me now ! hehe since having to install and remove the intake manifold pretty much took half of the time. the 4th hole ( hardest one ) ![]() same one different view ![]() testing with a washer ![]() top view ![]() Bolts used ![]() Completed Unit !!!!!!! ![]() Last edited by Megan370z; 01-07-2011 at 12:14 PM. |

as for the size , the runner entry of the 350zHR/M370 seem bigger than the 370zvhr and also the curved lip is more suited in the 350zHR for the runner size from my very limited experience and what I have read on the M370 from MotorDyne. The 350HR manifold should be superior (haven't been on the dyno myself yet) on the VQ37 platform Volume ? I have no idea ! I haven't tested it but should be very close to each other. Air Feeding , well there is 6 runner in the Intake manifold and 3 of each side is positioned toward the Throttle entry ,, the rear and middle runner have more of an direct air pickup than the front one. There isn't a wall separation from the left to right , the air is free to move everywhere |

im still using it and havent got any problem
![]() we discorvred the reason about the big dip at the top end ,, it was the result of a bad cracked flywheel that was making the knock sensor unhappy and then they were pulling timing badly.. since the repair ,, that drop fo 40whp never came back |

How did you get all the plastic dust and shavings out of the manifold? Air compressor? Shop vac?
I'm doing something similar and I noticed there are a lot of places where the little particles can hide and get sucked into the engine later. As you know, the the entire inside of the manifold is open and has little nooks and crannies everywhere.

you can also minimize the dust/particles going in by putting some towel in each runner |
