DIY: Parking Light LED Install
OK, so I changed my parking lights today with LED bulbs from V-LED.
Here is the link to buy the bulbs: 2 V-LEDS 6K WHITE 194 13 LED LIGHT BULBS 158 168 2825 2 V-LEDS 6K WHITE 194 13 LED LIGHT BULBS 158 168 2825 This is real easy and only took 5 minutes per side, and that included taking pictures :tiphat: Not much to say about the install that you can't see from following the pictures below. The best way to access these bulbs is through the wheel arch. Starting at the drivers side, turn the wheels full lock to the right, this will give you access to pull the liner back. Remove 2 clips as shown in the pics, one is at the middle edge of the liner, the other is the lower edge of the liner. Just pop these out with a flat blade screwdriver, and be gentle. Locate and remove the parking light, remember... lefty loosey, righty tighty ;) If you look closely at the pictures, I have circled the liner clips, and the parking bulb in yellow. NOTE: Now LED lights have voltage polarity, so although the bulb will fit in either way round, it will only function if it's in correctly. After putting the bulb in, turn the lights on to test it as shown in the pics, BEFORE you put it all back together. Now replace the liner and complete the process on the passanger side. Remember to turn the wheels full lock to the left this time. Some before-and-after pics also included: http://www.the370z.com/members/troop...icture-003.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/troop...icture-004.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/troop...icture-006.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/troop...icture-007.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/troop...icture-009.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/troop...icture-012.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/troop...icture-014.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/troop...icture-016.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/troop...icture-018.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/troop...icture-019.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/troop...icture-020.jpg Hope it helps, TROOPER |

Hi trooper I know this thread may be kinda old but just ordered these parking lights from the website you provided, there was another member on the forum stating that his bulb melted and screwed up his passenger headlamp, my question to you is are your parking bulbs still intact and do you have any night time pics, thanks in advanced:)

I know this is an old thread, but just got these to install. Am I the only one that cannot get the socket loose from the parking light? I have a 2010 Roadster and I can barely get my fingers into the area around the bulb holder and 'am having a heck of time getting them loose.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
^^ got fat fingers? :P
I had to ask my gf to turn it for me. There's not a lot of room in there |
Okay, got these installed and they do look great! Just a tip for others, have a pair of pliers handy for the install. It will make it a lot easier.
|
^ Thanks for the tip. I will make sure I have a female around with small fingers for them tight spots, pliers as a backup.
|
saw your diy ordered them put them in easy up grade thanks
|
Thanks for the DIY TROOPER! I was stuck on the whole righty tighty/lefty loosey part...
so much of a difference its unbelievable in the white brightness!!! funny thing is i have had these since mid June and i just installed them today... reps for helping me make it an easy install... |
Caveat: I have an extra package of 2...

so has anyone had a problem with the LED bulbs melting?
the bulb here has 13 LED's and I'm thinking it might produce too much heat. 6K WHITE 13 LED LIGHT BULBS 158 168 194 2825 | 1 PAIR |
