I have used these pads for over decade and love them. They were developed by a local SoCal hot rodder who was out of the Long Beach area; now in Burbank. In fact, I have the vise pads, tools pads, and even a very large piece of material you lay on your work bench that he no longer sells—none have ever worn out.

Here's another excellent buy-once jack stand that accommodates pinch points: ESCO

I also have this: Floor Jack Adapter (I like the PROTECH better.)
Thanks, the one with the groove for the pinch rail, is what I'm looking for
