So, as some of you know, I ripped the drivers side of my chin spoiler off last weekend, and have been driving around with it "taped" up until I could find the time to do something about it.
![]() Tools you'll need:
Step 1: Jack up the front of the car... ![]() Step 2: Drop the lower engine shroud Use the flat head top pop out the rivets (green circles). Use the 10mm socket to remove the 12 screws (red circles). ![]() Step 3: Remove the rivets holding the chin spoiler Using the pliers, grab the top of the rivet on the inside of the bumper (picture 1: red circle). Now, use the drill with 1/4" bit to start tapping into the rivet's head (picture 2: red circle). Once the bit grabs into the head, it will actually just twist the head of the rivet off of the stem. At this point, just push the stem up through the bumper and move on to the next one. ![]() ![]() Step 4: Drop the car, and admire your handy work! ![]() -TexasViking |
