To me it sounds like he might have shorted out the rear tail light section. Might want to check your fuses. Sent from my GT-N8013 using Tapatalk 4

The tail light fuse is in the battery section. U might need to take out the battery cover and there's a fuse box. That's happened to me before but I can't find the fuse box bring it to dealer and they charged me 90 for a stupid fuse! Lesson learned. 😔

If your steering wheel light was out and the tail light out too. Then same thing happened to mine before. The dealer lied to me. They said the fuse box is inside the dashboard that's why I bring it to the dealer. But the truth is the fuse box just inside the battery section. 😔

Sweet DIY!! I plan on doing this very soon.
Does anyone know how to connect to the third break light? I'm taking about the one that's on the hatch.

Quick question
I noticed that the invisicord wire is connected to the light for the license plate but where do I connect it to the jdm fog light? I know it has a wire connected to the back of it but that doesn't look like the same one where he connects the invisicord wire. Thanks.

Did this install today and it works perfect and it's my first Mod on my Z. Thanks laserblueprint. Also for anyone wondering what to do with the excess wires you can actually tuck em between the fog light cover facing up towards the license plate. Hard to understand what I'm saying but once you're there you'll see what I mean. will take pics and post later for reference.

I don't recommend using PVC electrical tape on a car. Even 3M's 33+ will eventually have the "glue" break down from the heat. The tape will start unraveling and the glue gets VERY messy. And it's not the best stuff for use around gas/oil/antifreeze/&c - the tape itself usually holds up well but the stickum breaks down. I use some splicing tape or RTV to seal against water and dirt, if needed, and then heat-shrink tubing on top of everything. Spiral wrap tubing works well for those places where shrink tubing is not practical. But I tend to go a little overboard so YMMV.
