Woah woah, it seems you placed the duct on one side of the rotor. Wouldn't that cause uneven temperatures in the rotor and uneven wear on rotors and brake pads??

From the pics it looks like a good amount of the airflow should be going inside the rotor rather than the rotor surface.

I personally thought your first set up was better, but then again I am in no way an expert on brakes. I was under the impression that either indirect air flow (such as the factory ones I had on the evo or your first setup) or ducts that cover the entire inner circle of the rotor would keep the rotors having symmetrical temperatures

What a awesome deal. I'll defiantly be doing this now. I need a simple prodject to work on anyways. Rep.

You originally said you needed 11 ft. How much more to attach to the rotor? Seems as this only comes in 10 and 11 ft at a time. Hate to have to buy that much extra. Where to you get this supllies from? Can't find any place local.

In reality you do want the brake duct aimed at the center of the disc, not a single disc face. You concerns are correct here.

The idea of a brake duct is so that the air is channeled into the middle of the disc, scooped up by the internal vane design (between the disc faces), passed between the disc faces and out around the perimeter of the disc. As the air passes between the disc faces it extracts heat evenly from both faces. If you cool the brake pads unevenly, it can cause the brake pads to be less effective.

In addition, having the duct aimed properly will also help keep the wheel bearings cool and hopefully prolong their service life.

Something to also pay attenion to is the rotation direction of your rotors. You want it so that it scoops air from the inside and expells it outward. If you have this backwards it will prevent the ducts from doing their job as effectively. Stock 370Z rotors are not directional, but this is something to pay attenion to if you ever upgrade to a BBK or aftermarket set of rotors with directional vanes.

@Z1 if you guys make proper brake cooling ducts I'm sure many of us would buy them. Certainly I would.
What would you do to alter the design of the OP / how would you do what you described?

Supposedly there are factory brake cooling ducts coming with the 2012 Z's. No details on them yet, but that may be a good option as well.

It was from the same source as the oil cooler. No one has any details or knows anything about it though. There was a part number, but it was incorrect.
