Laser Interceptor Laser Jammer Installation
So I spanked me a 2010 PW 370z sport package and all and decided before I get into any trouble a laser jammer and radar detector would do the trick. I put the radar detector in the first day (V1) and then had the laser jammer in the trunk in the box waiting for a good day to install.
Unfortunately the second day I got a ticket 37mph over and it was a laser ticket...lesson learned. Time to put the jammers in. First off the laser jammer is the "Laser Interceptor" which I have installed previously in a 2007 Ford Explorer and have no problems with it. JTG and JFG almost everytime, and the times a punchthrough (where the jammers lose impact) occurs is less than 200 feet so you still have a jam for a while. I got the LI Quad as police officers in my area shoot the front and rear of your car with laser. First step of installation is running the getting power to the CPU and routing the wires through the cabin. I took out the bank of middle switches and installed the kill switch in the center bank. The wires can be routed through the kickplates on the left side of the driver The front jammers were a bit harder then the rear I then routed the wires across the engine bay Under the weather stripping Cut a slit in the grommet and into the car Pulled the wires through the interior The rear jammer heads were put into place and the wires routed behind the license plate where two small holes go that lead into the bumper Then I ran the wires underneath the trunk weather stripping Through the trunk and to the CPU The jammer heads were affixed with 3M automotive tape instead of the brackets because I didn't want to drill any holes into the car. |

CPU is mounted behind the drivers seat in that little nook area, I have to clean up the wires and stuff a bit. For now it works. Now...to get a lidar gun and test it.

How do you like the alert? I really cannot tell what the hell its saying most times even with music off and my cpu is under driver dash in footwell with no obstructions..
As long as it jams I guess.....Many more alerts from "unknown gun" to others, but good to know it recognizes more than 1 type of lidar...alarming tho and makes you want to brake hard when you hear it go off...but thats what the 6 pot brembos are for,.... |

I have the CPU in the drivers side pocket behind the seat so the alerts are fairly audible. Basically all I know is when it starts the alarm I hit the brakes and then kill it. Never JTG.
Post some pictures of your install, I had a hard time mounting the front. |
