yeah i have an old bug and my truck ill drive when the weather isnt awesome enough to go top down, but around here i just get picky and dont wanna get cold. doesnt rain all that often.
i stopped back by nissan and told them about the issue yestersay and they seemed to play pretend interested but i could tell the manager dude didnt care too much. they had one other 370 that i checked had the correct lockers. best part was that they didnt have any reg lugs in stock either so they pulled 4 from their only z and gave them to me. ill get the ordered (and hopefully correct) set in on wed and idk if ill even install them. thanks for the compliment |

Completed the install last night. Superb write-up +1 rep points.
Thanks to Chrisslicks on the DIY Rotor removal. Installed H&R DRS Spacer - 10mm front and 15mm rear Here are some thoughts that I would like to share with the Forum from my install. 1. Used cousins lift to complete the work - made the job super easy...watch the clearances to the bottom rocker panel when you lift the car 2. Only have 400kms on the car - so everything un-bolted like a sinch. I found it easier to remove the brake line attachment bracket on the front control arms to manoeuvre. I have no wear on my rotors yet, so I was able to slid the caliper off the rotor without removing the brake pads. Rotors literally fell off the hub 3. 3lb sledge hammer worked like a charm, couple of good wacks and the lugs were free. Used the nut technique and put a socket over the end to protect the threads (thanks ModShack) as I wanted to keep the old lugs. 4. Try to line up the spline with the old lug spline indentation. Used impact gun to install them and then torqued them all to make sure they where all proper seated. 5. Rear spacers - did not remove the hand-brake asm, just rotated the hub and slipped them in. 6. Whole job - start to finish took about 2 hrs 15mm is perfect in the rear. The outer lip of the tire is perfect lined up with the fender. For those guys you went to 25mm.. yikes the tire would be sticken out pretty far. My cousin ( the mechanic) was concerned about the paint chipping on the fender edge. Anybody have any feedback on accelerated wear due to offset tires? Maybe clearbra might help?

How long should this take? For the H&Rs with replacement studs? My shop is quoting me an hour per wheel, that seems timely based on the DIY instructions. This shop has done great work, CBE and HFCs with no problems at all and a good price.
Thanks

I did the job a few weeks ago with a lift and it took around 2 hours total. The shop is probably playing it safe quoting your an hour per wheel. My car is very new and everything unbolted easy, no heat or extra leverage required.

Ok thanks guys. It wasn't a firm figure for the quote, more than likely the total bill is less.

Took my z to the local shop today to get my swift springs and h&r spacers installed (15f20r) and they quoted me $150 for the springs and $560 for the spacers. I asked politely why so expensive on the spacers (knowing beforehand it would take about 2 hours without a lift after reading this diy) and they said that EACH spacer would take 2 HOURS to install I think ill give it a shot this weekend. Thanks for the write up yall.
