Need DIY on putting on the CF Fang on the Z

Hey guys i just got my cf fang from 370z source and it looks pretty simple to install just remove the tape protector and stick it on right? well thats

Default Need DIY on putting on the CF Fang on the Z

Hey guys i just got my cf fang from 370z source and it looks pretty simple to install just remove the tape protector and stick it on right? well thats what i was hoping for b4 i install it i was wondering is there any preparation needed to be done to ur fang b4 putting on the fang, like rub it with alcohol or sumthing, also i was wondering is there a special way to put it on like right to left or bottom to top?

You should first check to see if it fits or if you need to cut some of the cf off. If it's a tight fit it may scratch up your paint, you can try covering some parts with painters tape.

yeah it fits snugg liek i cant put it on perfect. I put it on with out the tape and it seemed fine, i just wanna kno if i take the protector off and put the tape on and i messed up and want to pull the tape out would it leave like glue behind that would be hard to get off? and cptspeed i already read that thread my cf fang is a different fang mines doesnt need screws or anything i got mine from 370z source not evo-r

If it's a tight fit you may not be able to use too much tape. I used two pieces of tape 1/2 inch long but mine is a real tight fit. If you need to take off Tape residue use goo gone.

funny thing is 370z source already have the tape on for u all u have to do is peel off the protector and stick it on im just afraid i will mess up here are some pictures of what im working with.

Just put it on gentally if it doesn't fit give it a firm tug and the tape won't be fully seated and you can remove it and re adjust or what ever then just apply new tape and clean with some degreaser before u Put it down for good
