Default Ramps that work with Nismo

I want to get some ramps for my Nismo, makes for easier oil changes, anyway, if I do the 2x6 trick, has any one figured out how many and how long they need to be to work? I figured no sense in re-figuring what has already been done.

Thanks Bob

Cool

Although I do not have the Nismo nose, I picked-up these 67" Race Ramps for a standard 370Z:

Love 'em. They also have extenders to these for the lowest of cars, but you will probably not need them. Here is how to measure for them if you are interested: Ramp Test. Checkout the forum threads about them:

A terrific source to buy Race Ramps from is from Reverse Logic Limited ---> Low Profile Ramps & Wheel Cribs

Terrific to deal with, pricing excellent and Fred the owner gets them to you at super sonic speed. I've bought from him twice now and he is good to deal with and an excellent communicator.

Forgot to mention that Reverse Logic Limited has FREE Shipping which saves you lots on Race Ramp products. Other vendors get you for $25+- on shipping.

I've been thinking about a set of Race Ramps. Thanks for the info on a good vendor for them.

For chocks to use with Race Ramps consider these.
---> Buyers Rubber Wheel Chock, Model# WC1467A | Wheel Chocks | Northern Tool + Equipment

Race Ramp vendors/ Race Ramp get $14 each for basically the same chock that Northern Tool is getting $7.00 each for.

Can you post the dimensions of your boards? (and the wood type)

Thanks,

The 2x4 approach is definitely the most cost effective. I was going to spend $400 on a uber low profile jack but I'm just going to cut some pieces of 2x4 to drive all 4 corners up on so I can get my current jack under the car.

Cool info about the race ramps. The Flatstoppers look like a good alternative to putting the car on jackstands for winter storage too.

Would it be possible to use 4 ramps, one at each corner and drive up, or should one stick to the traditional 2 ramps up front and 2 jack stands in the rear?

You can bump your tire pressure up to around 50PSI and accomlish the same goal for a lot less dough!

Wow, how much throttle would you need to do that? There's also another problem...you won't be able to place a 8 or 10 inch ramp in front of the rear tires. Not enough clearance under the side sill.
