Here's a couple pics. Still need to do a little bit of touching up. It looks really good.

I've had it done for almost 2 years and 20k miles, no more rock chips or damage then the original surrounding paint. :-)

How do you mask a straight line in between the valance and bumper gap?

use a lot of patience and try to do short sections along the curve and long strips around the straights. Also make sure you sand in side that edge good because you dont want the paint to peel off when you take the tape off. Here he sanded after he taped which is a better idea then what i did which was sanding before. I had to be carefull not to take the gloss off the parts i didnt want painted. For a clean line, I suggest using the blue tape that says edge lock or something like that. Regular blue tape sucks imo and I have to touch up some parts. Keep some paint thinner handy just incase you mess up. You can dab a little on a cloth and wipe it right off if you have over spray somewhere.

I've tried to plasti dip it 3 times now and every time, no matter how much I spray (to peel it when it's wet) or how soon I try to peel the tape off after that, the edges lift so I just end up removing the whole thing rather than just having a ghetto looking paint job on it. I might just end up doing a CF wrap or flat black wrap on it, but we'll see.

I know nothing about plastidip as i try to stay away from the stuff. I used a flat black paint can from autozone but made sure it said for plastics

You dont wanna peel too soon, that makes it look uneven, spray a coat with 10 min intervals and then when you are finally done, wait 5-8 mins and slowly peel off the tape. Theres a DIY video on here somehwere for it just youtube it!!

I thought that since the area that I was spraying doesn't have a sharp edge that it won't make a clean cut on it's own, so you have to try and pull the tape out of the valence and bumper crevice while it was still wet?

Trying this while the dip has dried would make it so that the dip does not cut but it will tear and give me the same problems that I already have.
