Default Diy cruise conversion to switch help

Hey guys,

This is my issue :
I converted my cruise control to buttons on the dash.
I used the value for resistance written in the FSM and wire the switch in serie for the right total value.

The cruise control button work ! And I can switch maps (still on uprev)

But when I press the cruise activation button my cruise is flashing

I tap into the 2 wire that are connecting in the clock spring . Yellow and light blue.

Any idea of what is the issue ? Is it unhappy with the control not being on the circuit board or is the circuit board doing anything extra ?
