Damn I should've searched the DIY a long time ago. I've been driving by this land fill for a few months and I was begining to think the filter needed to be replaced...but Nissan didn't even put one in the first place

i just installed an ATP carbon particulate filter from a 2004 avalon in my Z. totally took that nasty, rank a/c stink away. i had this problem ever since day one and its gone now.

Did this DIY yesterday and used STP filter P/N CAF1792 and had to trim the filter because it was interfiring with the fresh/recirc air door. I noticed it because smells from the outside got in my car when it was in recirc mode. I recommend to check the operation of this door before reasembling the glove box.
