yah, i use the fram from amazon in my 09'

dark side goes on the bottom.

My 09 was empty as mentioned. I put a CF1057 in there tonight. Thanks guys, I found this really usefull

I'd pull it out, slide it back in, pull it slide it back in, still wouldn't fit. Pulled it out again, just to make sure it was going in the right slot, still no go. Tried forcing it with it with one hand while guiding it in with the other. The mofo will not fit!! Shoulda known better than to force a charcoal filter into a white box.

Hey fellas, I just did this install tonight, I have a 2010 Z with only 6k miles, and surprisingly the oem filter was dirty, it wasnt THAT bad, but it was dirty. I replaced it with the FRAM CF10743 filter from Walmart, it was $29.

For a 2014 370Z the CF10743 is the wrong filter, it's too large. You can force fit it, but run the risk of breaking the tab on the cover. The size of filter in actual dimensions is 7-3/4" x 8-1/4" x 3/4".

I use FRAM CF10140. You have to make a minor modification to make it fit. There is some pictures on page 1.

The FRAM CF10743 is .1 inch smaller than the FRAM CF10140, maybe that would make the fit better without modification?
