I noticed a couple of people had luck with the DDMTuning bulbs. I just purchased a set of 35W D2S in 12000k. Did anyone have to modify anything or did they swap right out? I saw a D2S adapter at DDMTuning for general ballasts but didn't buy figuring it was a straight swap.

Thoughts?

No adapter needed, just make sure to get the D2S bulbs..

I also have a set of the iJDM toy bulbs if you want them, hell you can even come by and pick them up, we can replace them right there.. They are 6000K bulbs never used. $20...

Cool, mine are still doing the same thing. I have to switch the lights on/off like 3 times before they stay on.

I ordered some DDM tuning bulbs in 6k and had them installed for about a week now and one of the bulbs started having problems. It would not turn on! If i turn off the lights and wait a few minutes and turn it on again, It would come on. The other day It was not on, so i kept turning it off and on a couple of times and no luck.

So yesterday, i swapped them out to the other side to see if there was maybe something wrong with the housing itself and not the bulb but same thing on the other side it didn't work. it works like every other 9 or 10 times i try turning it off and on but the other bulb works just fine.

so today i called ddm tuning which took forever and a day for them to answer. the guy tells me that he will ship out 1 bulb to replace the messed up one. I told him that i read on their website that they will replace them as pairs for the best possible match in the output. He then says oh okay, then ship those back and we will try to replace the messed up one and match your working one?? then i ask if i have to pay for the shipping. He says we have to split it. I pay the shipping to them and he pays it shipped back to me. what the hell?? Their warranty sucks and is not as advertised on their website.

I got a set from DDMTuning but haven't had a chance to get a hold of RockStarKick for the other set. Tomorrow afternoon I work but the evening I'm free, Saturday is all clear as well.

So easy does it or the housing is brittle and breaks easy. So with my luck I will have to buy a whole new headlamp assembly because of a broken housing.

Great DIY by abakja1 I borrowed his pic to so the clip and housing that broke off.

Man. I broke the something. So how did you get it fix? How much was it? Did you replace the whole thing?

Just got my lights in, was hoping for a more purple/violet (12,000k) color but got more of a darker blue/light tinge of purple color. (not really noticeable in pics)

Anyways happy with the results.

Stock VS 12000k

No problem,...glad I was able to help. Funny,.,anything close to blue or purple lights in Hawaii is illegal. How do you get away with 12k lights?
