Center console pocket lid; replacement options?

1 Attachment(s)
My pointy elbows have once again destroyed another another center console pocket lid cover door thinger.

Can anyone recommend a replacement? Can I do just the lid w/o the whole pocket or center console? Are there other options than just OEM? Different materials that might endure my elbow abuse?

Thanks for the help!:tiphat:

You can easily recover it. Here’s an example of what’s available:

Thanks for that! Looks promising.

Being a DIY noob, is there much involved with removing the existing cover?

Edit: I see 5 screws under the cover when I lift up the lid. Guessing there's another hiding in the back that the center console covers up? Hm.

So, got the lid off after completely removing the center console. It looks like the original covering was glued to it as well as melted to it in places. The new replacement covering barely fits, so I'm going to have to pull it pretty tight to make it look good.

Any thoughts on how to secure the new covering to the lid? It seems like I'm going to have to use some spray adhesive, but that might not be enough. I've been looking at how other people have done it on other vehicles and it seems staple guns are pretty common. Not sure how well that'd work in this situation...

Anyone have any thoughts / advice?

Get a CF one and slap it on top. Someone makes it.
