Default Red Fog Light Wiring...

Guy's, trying to wire in my Fog lamp. It's installed with the old one out. Traced the wiring harness to trunk. It contains :
1. Grey
2. White (2)
3. Orange
4.Black
5. Blue
6. Red
7. Black to ground.

This harness seems to follow along trunk...
Anyone have this same wiring? How would I tap the license plate wires?

Thanks in advance...

Answer my own problem...Splice the wire from the fog light and take it to the wiring harness in the right taillight section..

Turns out I am still having trouble with my wiring, can't seem to see where the wiring harness goes in the trunk. Do I need a special harness for this Fog light?

What I did is to buy a socket and bulb that fit (with some trimming) into the existing foglite housing. I then ran a hot wire from the LEFT-HAND license plate light (that one is the easier of the two) and connected it up to one terminal of the new socket. Then, I ran a ground wire from the other terminal on the new socket , thru the entire car, then to one terminal of a switch , and grounded the other terminal of the same switch. I mounted the switch (fits perfectly) in the middle of the three blanks on the console.

In operation, when you flip the switch, it completes the ground, and the lite comes on. It only has power when the lights are on.

BUT.....YES, you are correct about the hassle of running a wire thru the entire car. That was the hardest part.

Pop out the left-hand license light, and hook up a length of wire to the power wire. Then, run a straightened-out coat hanger down thru the bumper from the hole (license light) , behind the bumper skin, to the area by the foglite. Use that to pull the new wire thru. Easy-peasy
