DIY: I should know the answer to this...
Hiya,
Can anyone confirm 100% if the car has been not started for over a week if the upper radiator hose will leak if removed? Thanks |
Nobody wants to put the guarantee down... So I think that's my answer.
|
It should leak. The system should be full 24/7, letting it sit doesn't mean anything
|
It will leak. Squish the hose with your hand and you can feel that its full.

Plan on it being slam full - pans, rags, water hose, &c. Draining/siphoning some coolant before removing the hose should lessen the mess. Any spills in the engine compartment will rinse off with water. Edit: The FSM should tell you if DE is right and give the Nissan procedure for removing the hose. |
Thanks to all for confirmation. Much appreciated

im a betting man ....ill give it a 50/50 chance:icon17:

The question baffles me ...
|
Yeah I know just thought there would be a chance

Assuming your radiator cap is working correctly (and reservoir is full), yes, as mentioned earlier it should be entirely full.
What are you changing out? |
