Do you also have to run the wiring harness to the lamp from the stalk, or is it already installed from the factory?

One more thing about dash light.This is tricky to put in.Has to be sodered and is easy to wreck things if not done carefully.

Make sure you get it oriented right before soldering it in. You can check for orientation using a multimeter. Put the meter on a higher ohms scale and apply the leads to the LED. If it doesn't light at all, swap the leads, it should light up. That will tell you were the negative side of the LED is located. Match it up with the circuit board and solder it in place. A little liquid flux will make the job easier. Oh, and a rosin core flux, NOT ACID CORE.....


BTW... Negative side will go on the left side of that board. The arrow on a LED/diode points to the negative side.
