GReddy Ti-C exaust w/sound clip
Well I didnt have a camera with me when I was putting it on but I will do my best to explain the process. I did the install on the floor in my garage. Not a hard job at all, BUT there was a few surprises.
1. Unbolt stock exaust. 2. Bolt on new exaust starting from the front of the car. Kit has all hardware and gaskets. 3. Everything is pretty cut and dry so far but now at the rear section is where it it gets a little tricky.. You need to remove the heat shield that was above the stock muffler section in the back.. Next you need to unbold the box with 3 hoses going into it that is in the far right side of the back bumper. looks like box in pic 1 Greddy sent you a new metal peice to put up in the place of the heat shield, using the 4 bolts, bolt it into place then slide the black box into the slider and bolt it down with the small bolt included in the kit. One of the hoses needs to be extended to fit in the new place. Take off that hose and put in the extender with the new hose in the kit and connect it to the box and screw down the hose clamp. now with that out of the way you can finish bolting up the muffler section. THATS IT! Sound clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKlcmYp672M

A couple of extra tips
After doing this install last weekend I would mention this to others:
You use the stock hardware for the connection at the cats. So be careful not to round out or strip these bolts. I had one of the others get stuck and rounded it out trying to remove it. I ended up going up to a muffler shop with only hand tightened bolts on the stock exhaust (HOLY CRAP is the car loud with open exhuast) to have them remove the stuck one for $10. It might be worth it to have them loosen everything if your impact wrench won't fit. The 4 thick washers in your kit go between the black bracket and the body of the car. I found it MUCH easier to simply unbolt the exhaust hanger brackets and remove them from the car. Pulling the stock pieces out and putting the new ones in was a simple task with WD40 and a screwdriver once off the car. And this made it pretty easy to install and align before bolting everything tight. I did it the other way with my Mazda which has welded hangers and it was much harder. I'll try to get a photo album with additional pics and vids up within the next 1-2 weeks. |

^yeah a video would be really great bro! my friend with a 350z has the ti-c exhaust and it sounds really good so id expect it to sound just as good on the 370z but i am not planning on forced induction anytime soon so i rather buy a catback that is gonna give me good naturally aspirated gains

Very cool. I use channel-locks and WD40 to remove rubber mounts from the hangers.
Its good to hear they include a cover for the EVAP hoses. I think most folks just leave the cover off cause it gets into the way. |
