The 2 post would be an excellent garage tool. However the Ranger is more convenient. For instance, the Ranger can be stored. The two post is pretty much permanent (except the mid lift MaxJack). But the simple idea of moving the jack to the car and not the car to it has its advantages. What if the car don't run? You would have to push the car and line it upto the 2 post arms vs sliding the Ranger under. What if you don't finish a job and need the lift ASAP? You can slide car Jacks under and then lower the Ranger to remove and move them. What about low ceiling? Can't fit a full size 2 post. A 2 post will need a 2 car garage tyo fit and ot will take a good bit of space foing it. However, there are other benefits of the 2 post. They work "better." Get more height, more working space under car, can park a car under the first temporary, a helping hand can easier fit under car to help, ect.
