I have been looking at jacks a lot lately. I like the easy setup and easy to use of this jack. What I don't like it that it still cost a good amount and it don't lift high enough. Still, it's a very cool system. I'm sure you love it. I would too if I have it. It's just the $$ vs the use I would like to ge4tout of it. PS, I hate you for having a cool toy I don't have.

Speaking of cool toys, take a look at the picture shot from the rear of the car (not the closeup) and over in the upper left hand side of my garage, hanging from the ceiling, you will see one of my giant scale RC planes. It is a 38% scale Super Decathlon with a 12ft wingspan powered by a 170cc twin cylinder 18hp engine. Yes, I love my toys! Gotta' 3D printer too! |

Having to use blocks and adjusting multiple times defeats the purpose of having a jacking system like this for me.
PS, now you have 3 reasons why I hate you. YzGyz |

LMAO
For what this lift system costs I feel it is a great bargain. Look around and the next step up cost over $2500. The lift height should be good enough to do most things under the car. Major operations such as a transmission removal may not be a good idea using these but then again I have done a lot with a floor jack and jack stands. I dropped the transmission out of my 1969 Volvo 142S by parking the car on the curb. I was much younger (and smaller) then.... Cars such as my Fiat 124 Spider is so low to the ground that it can be a big pain in the back working under the hood. Getting the car up will help save my back. The Fiat sits so low that right now I have to jack it up by the bumper to get it high enough for most floor jacks to get under it. Here is reason number 4....... I'm sure this lift system could handle it just as well as the jack stands. I have dropped the Z transmission on jack stands in my garage. I don't recommend it, and I probably would never do it again. But totally doable provided you don't need to pull the transmission completely out from under the car.

But, back on topic: It looks like a pretty solid system to do some simple things, like oil changes.

This system look very nice for regular maintenance. My brother saw my lift search and stumbled on the Ranger and asked if I wanted to split in it. So tempted but it don't do enough. It looks so easy to use though. Grr..

Yes! I just used it to do a brake job on my wife's car, a wimpy little Toyota Matrix.
My FI CBE should be ready very soon and then it will get another workout when I do that install and the upgraded sway bars plus several other things to do while I have it up in the air. |

My Fast Intentions CBE will be here on the 23rd, just in time for Christmas!
I'll be using the Ranger lift to install the exhaust, Hotchkis sway bars and rear fog light. The plan is to do the work on the 29th. |

So for $400 bucks more you could have the real deal provided you have a place to install it.

Ranger makes a 12volt pump for track use. With that you can use the QuickJack system anywhere. If I was still doing a bunch of autocross I would get the 12 volt pump for my lifts. Now that battery powered impact wrenches are available (and work) you can do easy tire changes at the track/autocross.

Thanks for pointing this option out. It is a good value for a permanent installation. |
