QuickJack Lift System

1 Attachment(s)
Well my QuickJack got delivered today. Upon assembly I noticed I'm missing some female couplers for the long hose and one of the 90 degree fittings had some of the threads messed up. I called customer service and they are 2 day rushing me what I need. I was really hoping to put this thing into action today but oh well.

The instructions have you using plumbers tape on some of the fittings. A majority of my fittings were pre-assembled. Per customer service these are glued and do not require disassembly/plumbers tape. Wish I knew that before I almost stripped one coupler trying to get the darn thing apart. Oh well, it just doesn't look pretty like the others.

It looks like the new version has an improved locking system. The original works fine but the new system is better. Still love my QuickJack.

Nice to know that you don't have to do the teflon tape now with the pre-assembled connectors.

Another thing I have done is to put some black electrical tape on the body rails at the lift points. This makes setting up the lifts super quick and easy. I put the tape on all of my cars and it is a real time saver.

For those of you that don't (yet) own the QuickJack system, the lifting blocks sit in a tray area on the lifts so that they have some adjust ability to their position.

The rest of my parts got delivered yesterday so I'll be hooking it all up tonight.

I bought a scissor lift 10 years ago up here in Canada for about what they cost at Harbour Freight. It will lift to six different heights starting approx. Where your lift goes but can go up to 48 inches. It will easily lift my 98 pathfinder. It can be moved but definitely not portable weighing 500 pounds maybe more. Just a thought for those just leaving it in their garage. Have fun with your new "toy".

My missing parts got delivered yesterday and they are the wrong parts. I'm pretty pissed!!! They better overnight me the parts or give me some credit towards my purchase. 1 week later and I still haven't been able to use the thing!!!

Hey y'all. Good news! I got in contact with Gary and he took care of my issues. I'm having all new flush fittings and new hoses overnighted to me. I'm glad all us Z owners look out for each other. Thanks a bunch Gary!!!

Will you be using your Quickjack to drop the engine? I just bought a GTM TT kit and would like drop subframe with engine so that I can easily put on the manifolds. Do you think that is doable with the Quickjack?

I think the variables are whether there is enough height between engine and ground clearance and whether the length of the quick jack is small enough so the entire subframe can drop.

TBatt 05-18-2016 08:47 AM

No need to drop the engine for the Stillen SC install. Everything goes in from the top and front except the oil cooler.

I don't think you could use these for a sub-frame engine drop. By the time you get a lift under the engine you would not have any room to drop the sub-frame. It might work if all you need is a little extra room to work on the manifolds but a two post lift would be much better.

What's the lift height on these? I think I got the Z around 20" off the ground and couldn't even come close to removing the transmission out from under the car while it was sitting on a transmission jack.
