DIY: Paddle shifters for base 2015

Adding paddle shifters to base 2015+. I found the following parts which seems to fit (according to Nissan website) : Paddle switch. Steering Wheel Transmission Shift Control Switch. 25549JK000 Lower

Adding paddle shifters to base 2015+.

I found the following parts which seems to fit (according to Nissan website) :

Paddle switch. Steering Wheel Transmission Shift Control Switch. 25549JK000

Lower clmn cover. LOWER SHROUD. Steering Column Cover. 484701EH0A

it sounds cheaper and easier to just move up a model instead of getting a base and adding paddles.

that's just me though.

In my car installing the paddle shifters, its works, the harness is there just get the paddles and the lower shroud.

next project: installing the LED sidemarkers under the Z emblem on the side quarter panel, since the newer base models don't come with it

My humble suggestion for the next mod:

AT Shifter Mod: Reverse the Up/Down Shift Directions

I find I prefer the paddles for upshifting in general and for straight line acceleration, but prefer the gear stick (after this mod) for downshifting and driving into corners. I found it takes the shifter from being redundant with the paddles to a great second option.

Reversing the up/down makes it much more much more intuitive (i.e, "grabbing a gear" to go faster and "pushing away" to brake).

Has anyone got an update on how easy or hard this is to do? Or a how info yet? Thanks-- paddle shifters are the ony thing I miss in my base--'cause I love the smooth ride of the 18" tires.
