Great write up. Thx! One question: your parts list calls out a 4.7 ohm resistor but the resistor in your pic is a 470 ohm? What should I be using

Great write up. Thx! One question: your parts list calls out a 4.7 ohm resistor but the resistor in your pic is a 470 ohm? What should I be using for my 2010 370Z Nismo?

Looked at your pic #3 again. Can't tell if 3rd color on resistor is brown or gold. If gold it is 4.7 ohm as you have spec'ed. if so can you tell where you sourced it?

4.7 ohm, Abakaja asked me this on page 1. I bought it online as aforementioned

Awesome write up, will be making use of this soon! Question about the passenger weight sensor though, I do not want to remove it from my stock seats as I will probably sell them. However I need the passenger front airbag to work. I don't mind if it is always active, I'll never have a child or small adult in the car.
I am assuming that if the weight sensor is simply unplugged, the system will think no one is in the passenger seat and will not deploy the airbag. Is there a way to fool it into thinking the proper amount of weight is always there? |

Wow, nice write-up! (repped) As somebody mentioned, you can also plug directly into the plug instead of cutting up the seat. Works Bell also makes their "U-Turn Harnesses" which work very similarly...

You don't need the stock seats, just solder two pieces of wire to the resistor and use those to plug into the stock harness coming up from the floor. Or, for a more permanent install, cut the harness off of the floor cable and solder the resistor to those wires

1. How do the wires soldered to the resistor stay in the holes in the plastic plug ? Jam it in there and tape it ? 2. I am not sure if the plug in the floor is a male or female, have not taken seats out yet...but anyway, is it possible to get the correct plastic plug with two wires coming out of it that will just snap into the connector from the floor and then solder the resistor to to the two wires coming form the other end ? Taking the one from the stock seats is not an option as I am selling them. I'm a knucklehead ... I know, but any clarification would be greatly appreciated.
