Absolutely has been! Plus the extras I'm sending I think you'll REALLY like. Again, thank you for the major patience. It's been a bumpy ride, but we're back on target!:driving:

i dunno, is there a law saying side markers have to be amber or some other color?

No sir, only turn signals are regulated by the law. Green is allowed on the side of the vehicle. :tiphat:

To the OP:

I am converting 350z side markers to 370z, and in that process, I'm contemplating replacing a couple of the LEDs on the boards with white, and changing the purpose to dual running (white) and turn signal (amber) side markers.

It doesn't really look that hard to do; I'll have another lead (12v to running light circuit) coming out of the housing, so I'll convert the 2 wire lead to a weatherproof three wire.

I haven't done this yet, but in looking at your DIY - and looking at the 350z side marker, there's a tiny tab on the backside of the smoked lens at the bottom (about an 1/8" wide, like the tip of a flat blade screw driver).

I'm guessing that you don't have to pry from the front when you heat up the adhesive. I think you can push on that tab, and prevent damaging the silver bezel. When the adhesive gets sufficiently soft, you just push, and then you can get your fingernails under the lens from the front as it lifts off.

Just a thought.
