Review of Junkman's Water Restricted Washing Regime

Hi everybody,
This is going to be my first major post on this forum, so please bear with me since I'm still learning loads from you guys. I recently obtained a 2014 White Pearl 370z (6MT) so of course I want to keep it as new as possible. Anyways, this is a review of Junkman's Water Restricted Washing Regime from a few months back. I live in an area where washing your car with a hose isn't allowed, and I also don't have access to one anyways because I live in a condo. So when Junkman posted his guide on the water restricted wash, I immediately purchased the materials needed for the wash. Here's a link to his tutorial: Junkman's Water Restricted Washing Regime

Since I don't really have the money for any mods for my car, I figured keeping the car as new as possible would be my best bet until I can save up for some mods. So here's a list of the materials I used and where I found them:

The Rag Company:
3 Wash Mitts
1 Waffle Weave towel
2 Edgeless Detail Master towels

Adam's Polishes:
1 bottle of Adam's Shampoo
2 Grit Guard inserts
1 bottle of Adam's Quick Detailing Spray

Walmart:
2 5-gallon buckets
1 Spray Bottle

I went with Adam's Shampoo because it was cheaper than Garry Dean's shampoo, and I bought the 5-gallon buckets from Wal-mart because the one's on Adam's were around $25 each. Same with the spray bottle.

This is my first time washing my car using any 2-bucket method, so I made a few mistakes during this whole process. Firstly, I didn't bother to wash the towels before I used them, which led to a lot of small fibers coming off of the towels and onto the car as I was washing. Also, the waffle weave towel seemed to only spread water around, and I believe (hope) that this was due to the fact that I didn't wash it. Secondly, I was washing my car near the late afternoon, and it was cloudy, but the clouds started dispersing when I began the wash. Unfortunately, this lead to some of the water drying up on my car before I could dry it properly. Thirdly, when spraying the car with the bottle of wash mix, some of the water would collect on areas that I already dried. This lead to some of the soap mixture to dry onto the car.

Anyways, here are some pictures of the finished product. In one of the pictures, you can see some swirls that either were there before (I hope), or I created them from improper washing. Also, there's a spot on the front of the car where the dealership installed the license plate a little too tightly and caused the paint to chip. Any suggestions on fixing this?

For the most part, you paint is in excellent shape. It won't take much at all to fix those few swirls that you have. You definitely want to avoid making any more.
