Wheel repair on Ray G-Game 77 19x10.5

Anyone know a good repair shop?

I found rimspec.com, but they want to charge $400 a wheel. Both of my rear wheels are damage from the pervious owner. Seems most damage was done by a rock getting in the wheel(which is odd because it's the rear wheel). Front wheels look brand new.

Those rims look pretty jacked up. 800 wont buy you two new rims of a equal or better quality. It seems reasonable to me if they guarantee their work. Then again ive never had rims refinished.

You do make a valid point, Rimspec said it will be a brand new rim again.

They will take the wheel apart, smooth it, paint it, and re- chrome.

Id say go for it, if your not happy with how they turn out, dont pay and ask that they correct what you are not happy with!

I have to pay first. They won't ship them back in till I do, but I'll see if they can do a full photo shoot beforehand. $400 is steep buying another set for equal quality is worse.

Just a heads up OP, these wheels are not chrome plated, they are polished. What happens with repair shops is they fix the dents, but they cannot re-polish it back to the original state. It will be a best effort, what will happen is you will get the wheels back and will look like brushed aluminum, it will not be shiny. And if they cheat their way, they will chrome plate it which will flake off after a few moments of ownership. The reason why is that I had Volk and SSR wheels that I attempted to repair on professional shops who actually do wheel repair. We did my Volk first which they were right, it came out brushed and not smooth and shiny. I found out if you are willing to pony up extra cash, you can have Work Wheels re-barrel them for a nice price which gives you more options: you can go with any offset, do step lip or reverse lip, as well as adonized lip. Good luck!

So Work Wheels do repair, and add off set?

Thanks for the polish tip, yea when I spoke to Rimspec. They said it had to be chromed. I'll talk to them this week and see if they do polish. If they can't guarantee me. I'll look into Work, may even call Ray wheels see what my options are. After all I'm already paying $400 a wheel using rimspec.

$400... EACH... They're sticking it in your :icon23:...

Find somewhere local. They CAN polish wheels, if they're dismounting the tires, it should be pretty easy honestly. Somewhere charging $400 needs to do it right, plating is a god damn cheat.

Answer: The barrel needs to be replaced, and would have to contact Ray's Japan to ship them to me.
