i own a brand new z. will the cyclo polisher take out scratches and swirls on my clearcoat. they were put there by the dealer helping out. is it safe to use this on the z beings ive never used one before.after having built 2 of my own houses ive learned to keep the proffesionals out of the game as much as possible. forgive my grammar.

Dunno about the cyclo. I have both a Porter Cable and a Flex and tend to use Adam's polishes. They will absolutely get rid of the swirls you're talking about. I was in the same boat, bought the Porter Cable and Adams stuff. Virtually impossible to damage the car with the PC unless you drop it on the car. Flex polisher does the same job, just faster.

Go to Adam's Polishes website and watch their videos. Better yet, look up Junkman's series on YouTube. That is literally everything you need to know about paint correction.

I believe they stopped selling it....Now its just the cyclo......They posted about it a few days back.

I LOVED this polisher! It works GREAT on flat surfaces. It does twice the work of a normal DA polisher. You can lean into the machine and it will barely bog down (creating friction for defect removal). The only thing I have found using it is the odd way of trying to use it on surfaces that are not completely flat. I ended up selling mine because of this. I think I still have a lot of pads/wool pads laying around that you can have if you want! I have no need for them (too small for anything else). I will have to check but I think I have wool pads all the way down to finishing pads. Once again I will have to double check but if I have them, you want em for free?

I'm not convinced on the cyclo. Looks awkward to use on curved surfaces. Adams' stated position is that the Flex company was purchased by a Chinese company. I believe the polisher is still made in Germany...the company just has different ownership, but Adam doesn't want to support the Chinese company.

If you can handle a rotary I will put all my cash in you will LOVE this... it weighs next to nothing... if you use a dewalt, your arms will thank me and tips for $$ are always appreciative!! literally 8 pounds vs lighter than air!

MacCool, it definitely does look different than any other polisher, that's for sure. It's actually very comfortable to use, is nearly vibration-free, and only weighs about 6 pounds.

If you have the PC and a Flex, then you're set and there's no need to add a Cyclo to the mix...unless you're a tool junkie and just want to have another option.

Where in the "Midwest" are you? I'm in NE Indiana, I'd be more than happy to let you swing by my place and go wild with a Cyclo to see what you think!

I appreciate that Nick. Unfortunately, I'm in the "north" midwest, specifically central Minnesota. Having grown up in Omaha, which is right in the crack of your road atlas, it took me decades to come to grips with the concept of Minnesota being in the midwest, but there you have it.

LOL. I'd consider that the "upper" Midwest.

My brother actually is living in Chaska right now, and is coming home for the weekend. Just a quick 10 hour drive from one part of the Midwest to another.

That's the absolute worst polisher and advice that you could ever suggest to a novice ro machine polishing. A rotary in the hands of a novice is a $hit sandwich just waiting to happen. Here's what a novice did with a rotary on his car:







I have a rule when it comes to detailing advice. Never tell a guy to do to HIS paint what I wouldn't allow him to do to mine. I wouldn't allow a novice to use a rotary on my paint, even if I was standing there watching.

Very true, but thats why I said "IF you can handle a rotary..." Maybe I should have worded it as "If you are used to lugging a heavy *** rotary polisher,such as a dewalt, this one will feel light as air." Better?
Yes I know they are two different types of machines, was comparing weight, just so we are clear.
