MacCool, it definitely does look different than any other polisher, that's for sure. It's actually very comfortable to use, is nearly vibration-free, and only weighs about 6 pounds.
If you have the PC and a Flex, then you're set and there's no need to add a Cyclo to the mix...unless you're a tool junkie and just want to have another option. Where in the "Midwest" are you? I'm in NE Indiana, I'd be more than happy to let you swing by my place and go wild with a Cyclo to see what you think!
