Could only happen to me...
Got my car washed and waxed yesterday and when I got home I was admiring the work the shop did. While I was standing right there looking a pine cone fell from the tree next to our driveway and hit my hood, denting it.
It's not a really large or even deep dent but jebus...can't I have nice things??? Does anyone know of any things I can do to try to pop this little blemish out? I really hate to take it to a body shop and get reamed for such a small blemish. Thanks! |

I've used a can of compressed air and a hair dryer before. As long as there is no crease in the dent.

Do a google search for "paintless dent removal" in your area. It will cost you a little over $100 and you won't be able to tell it was ever dinged.

I like trees, but at $100 plus per pine cone, it could become very expensive. |

Truth. I had a nasty little dent removed and you cannot tell it was ever there.

Shop around. As long as it's a "smooth" dent (no creases), you should be able to find a body shop or PDR place that can fix the dent for a reasonable cost. You may be able to DIY - if you can access the back of the dent, try pushing it out.

I had hail damage on a Maxima and for $300 bucks they took out 20-30 dings or so. Don't know the exact count but it was a bunch. It was the dark cherry color too and any imperfections would have been easy to spot but there were none.
