Colour matching Pearl White
2 Attachment(s)
Hi all
Ive managed to reverse into the brick wall of my garage and scratch the back right bumper on my Pearl White 2011 370Z as shown in the pictures Im keen to fix the damage and was thinking respraying the whole bumper is the way to go One of the workers at the local nissan dealership/service however has told me that its pretty much impossible to colour match Pearl While and trying will only land me in hot water I have no idea what to do now and so I've turned to all the knowledgeable people here on the forum for guidance. Please help! |
They can repair the area and blend, repaint the whole bumper or repaint the bumper with a blend to surrounding panels. Which one works best depends on the skill of your painter. Most new paints seem to be tough to match, not just yours.
Painting the entire bumper may show differences in the adjoining panels. I'd always start with the least invasive. Your painter may need to play with a few mixes to get it right, not just pull a code and spray. So to sum it up, find a painter with skill. :) |
Thanks for the info Ubetit, ill try the more conservative approaches first as you suggested :)

If there is anyone in your area with custom paint experience give them a call. You may have better results with them.
