Default Leatherique Pristine Clean for Removing Blue Jean Dye Transfer

Quick overview of my experience using Leatherique Pristine Clean to clean my frost seats and remove dye transfer from my jeans.

The dye transfer on my seats was getting really bad so I finally got to work on it. I tried Lexol leather cleaner and it didnt do sh*t. I did a bit of research on a detailing forum that I read from time to time and found folks had luck with a product called Pristine Clean from Leatherique.

I ordered up a bottle with some various detailing supplies to get my spring detail off to a good start. The price was reasonable. The product does not have much of a smell, which is nice. No harsh chemical cleaner smell here. The application/use could not be easier. Just pour or spray a little on a microfiber towel. Massage into the leather. Let sit for 15 minutes, then wipe off with a damp rag.

The results speak for themselves:

Seat before cleaning. Notice the dye transfer on the lower bolster from my jeans.

After cleaning. Less than 5 minutes work.

50/50 shot with the lower half of the upper bolster cleaned and the upper half not. Nasty! Car only has 14k miles on it. No I'm not a smoker. I'm not sure if it's oxidation on the leather or what, but the entire seat had "aged" to that darker gray color so slowly and evenly that I never noticed until I cleaned it and was like "Oh yeah, that's the color the seats were when I bought the car."

Anyway, two thumbs up on this product. I'll never be without it again in my detailing arsenal. The Lexol is in the trash.
