Small scrape on stainless steel exhaust
I don't know how or when it happened, but I've got a minor scrape on the driver's-side canister of my ARK Grip exhaust (the price I pay for being lowered). It haunts me to know my once perfect exhaust is now damaged. Since it is stainless steel, I have read that it is difficult to "buff out" scrapes because the metal is very hard.
Does anybody know if this is something that a professional can take care of for me, or if this is just something I'll have to live with? I'll post pictures later when I get off of work. Any feedback is appreciated! Last edited by mantella87; 02-07-2013 at 07:13 PM. |

Bummer man some say scrapes add character. Low is nice but it comes with scrapes. Nature of the beast. I think if you get a dremel with a fine bit you can smooth the scuffs and then polish like you would a curbed rim. Lets take a look of the drama.

Hmm, yeah maybe I am being unrealisitc about it. I knew the day would come being lowerd, I'm sure I'm not alone. The scrape was there for weeks before I even noticed it. I was washing my car and I was washing the exhaust with a wash mit when I felt the scrape... I had to look at old pictures of when my car was first lowered to realize the scrape had been there before I discovered it. But still, I was hoping a pro would be able to take a drill & pad to it or something. Thanks for the advice though guys and I will put a couple pictures up when I get off work.
