IMO I would do it yourself, the places that detail cars use harsh chemicals and do not rely care about reusing the same rags and all. I will never take my car to a place for detailing.

Ask around and find a shop that a friend has used and is very happy with. Or ask for references from a few shops. Don't just take it to the first high volume shop you see. Do a little research, it will pay off.
